I'm organising for a bunch of guys from work to go shooting at Belmont SSAA Rifle Range on the 2nd October and figured I'd put the offer out there for any of you who want to come along.

The cost is around $10-15 per hour for the gun, $4.50 - $35 for a box of ammo (depending on calibre and number of rounds), Targets are around $3.00 - $5.00 each and the range fee which is around $15-20. Fees are lower for club members and firearms license holders.

You need to be older then fifteen, be wearing fully enclosed shoes and it is recommended that you either bring or buy ear protection on the day as some of the larger rifles are quite loud.

As a licensed firearms owner and club member I'm happy to show you the basics. There will also be range wardens on the day to help out.

You don't need a license to hire and shoot a gun but you will need one if you intend to bring your own ammo or take live rounds home with you. You are welcome to retain your empty cartridge cases as souveniers or donate them back to the club so that members can reload them.

    nice one Tonto

Sounds like something I could definitely be tempted into doing. Only problem I see is that doesn't the date coincide with Pex's B/day Bash?

    Otherwise I'm keen to attend.

Yeah this sounds like fun, it's been ages since I've been shooting. How far is this range from the Gold Coast?

I'll go. Haven't shot a rife in a LONG time (last time was about 10 years ago hunting rabbits on my great grandparents farm).

Prolly looking towards a 10am start, 1pm finish. Gives us a few hours of shooting.

SSAA Belmont is around half that price :)
