has anyone got any pics of something like this installed. i wanna see how it looks steering wheel colum gauge pod
I believe this is the 3M Di-Noc carbon fiber vinyl. Very similar to what im wrapping my car in but just a carbon fiber look. Its about 25 dollars a meter and not to hard to install yourself. I dont suggest buying this stuff from the site you will probably be paying too much. if you want more info PM me or check out my thread in my sig. cheers, matt
Powertrix supply a similar foglight duct, but from memory, those have C/F throughout. I'd be concerned about those C/F headlight inlays - especially when using HIDs - due to the amount of heat they're exposed to over time. The product description for the HL inlays has: - and the prices of most of the items suggest they're comprised mainly of C/F.. but I don't know. I'd have to check with the company. It'd be nice if these products were real C/F moulds, I'd buy them in a heartbeat edit: If you take a look at this, it seems the business also do C/F wrapping (eg the dash) for their custom projects, but it's not clear if they do the same for the products they sell.
Carbon Fiber possibly over fiberglass Carbon Fiber possibly over fiberglass in some cases like the carbon-fiber bonnets, but definitely not wrapping or coating which I have also previously had with my timing-belt covers and dash.
I received a bunch of questions today and was pointed to this thread. The parts are MOLDED CF parts. Some have fiberglass mat backing and some have cloth backing just like any CF part sold commercially, be it hoods, engine covers, etc. On custom orders we have wrapped a few parts in CF, this is done when a mold is too costly and it's a "one off" part. If anyone has any more questions please feel free to contact me via email or PM. P.S. Thank you Steven for posting up our info
