from reading previous posts i can tell pretty much everyone hates everybody kit, especially Veilside bodykits. i was wondering if there are any kits that arnt classed as "ruining or ugly"?
get one that YOU like... **** the rest of them... mod your car to your likes.. no matter what you do there will be haters and lovers....
Yeah, it's a personal opinion thing really... As much as I hate pretty much every a/m "kit" for Zeds, I respect that people have different tastes. I don't have to like them...and a beautiful stock Zed to one person is a car seriously in need of kitting to another. Anyway, to answer your question... IMO the best kind of kit is one that uses the body of the car and follows the lines and enhances it. So... if I was to kit a Zed, I'd do this.. ST74's goregeous 300zx.. 2k spec (aka 99 JDM) front, kaminari skirts with door infils. The reason this works and looks awesome, is because the 2k front continues that horizontal line along the bottom of the car. Most Zed's with A/M fronts do away with that completely...so they immediately look after market. The very popular greddy front comes to mind. The only way to fix that, is to put on a/m skirts and eventually your car looks like it's been dipped in fibreglass. As I was saying, the Kaminari skirts have a hard edge that follows that line to the stock rear.... like so... See how the line behind the rear wheel (wrapping around the rear bar) follows the kaminari side? It's a work of art. So from there, you could add a spoiler, change the tail lights and you could even change the rear bar, provided it was in keeping.

No, in fact I cut into the fenders and widened the headlights. I put the original bumper shocks back on and lowered the beam to its original place making it sleeker and twin turbo compatible (before it would only fit na Zeds). I will finish by this month and even longer to sell. I think before owners spend money on a kit, they should get coilovers to lower the stance of the car, thats the first best improvement. I would advise going the 2K route and that's it, cheapest option and by far the best looking option. As shown by blue raven
how is the 2k bar in terms or airflow through the rad? I have an fmic and I like the look of the 2k bar, but the uas/greddy bar seems like it would be best for airflow?
As everyone has said, fit what ever kit floats your boat. However, in my opinion, 2K or Greddy. Subtle, effective and doesn't foul the beautiful lines/body shape of the Z.
