Hay guys I got a bunch of RDA909Slotted front rotors I need to get rid off. so im offering them to members for $155 a pair pick up from SE melb (keysborough) or can arrange postage if need be. Just need your post code. Brand new in box,
I bought a set of the non slotted a few weeks back... Good service, good communication and not to mention, fixed my massive wheel shudder while braking Cheers Spandex!
going to do another run of slotted rotors (10 pairs) if anyone is keen pre order is $150 a pair 1 week ish turn around for slotting.
Can arrange fitting as well, I highly recommend getting pads from GSLrally on here, QFM pads a very good pads and dirt cheap as well...
No track days. Just daily driving for 15'000 k or so. Pads still a quarter, disks getting thin though. Great braking and feel, lots and lots of dust, notable grinding noise so some good, some bad.
Yep heavy cold braking I get a bad noise, I mean 160-180km to a dead stop pretty fast, but I expect that from a 1700kg car going that fast pulling up that soon. I haven't found any where on my rotors tho. In any of my cars, Tow car, Race car etc.
In which case A1RM probably wasn't the right pad choice, and HPX would've been the better option. Apologies if we misled you with regards to their suitability.
I've also personally found the same thing. It seems they only chew rotors cars where they're doing nothing except daily driving. In season 2008 (the year we took the state title) we went through nearly 2 complete sets of A1RM, and didn't have any lip on the rotor what so ever that you could feel. In that was probably 2,000k's competitive, and probably another 3 or 4 thousand k's transport and liason. No pad we've ran previously that would do the job was that kind on rotors.... Also in the tow car (Cross 6 One Toner Ute) which spends most of it's life either towing or being used for recce at rallies (ie. being flogged) the A1RM and rotors lasted 18 months and 25,000k's. I've found the same applies to alot of the guys on SAU... Those that have done nothing but daily driving with them seems to complain about the wear, but those that do track or sprint work, will go through pads every 5,000-10,000 k's, but their rotors are lasting in excess 20,000k's.. Given the incredibly good rotor wear we had in competition conditions, we probably in the early stages of selling the A1RM overstated their wear characteristics, and I apologise to anyone effected. If those who have had an issue with wear would like to switch to the HPX I'll look after you on price! / End of thread spam
I wasnt having a go at them or anything, I love them and I know they need a little bit of heat in them to work, which is why they make noise on a hard stop after some freeway driving. For the price I wouldn't change them for anything else.
Yeah I know you weren't having a go, infact quite the opposite, I was just sharing out experience of the pad in other [less than daily] applications. Cheers, Greg
