    S2 PTU with plugs pigtails $50 each pickup in Brisbane
    or $58 posted Australia wide

    S2 PTU plug and play with mounting bracket
    $128 posted Australia wide

    I also have spare plugs with pigtails if needed

    My series 1 PTU is going on 30 years old showing no signs of failing, is the S2 considered a performance modification?

    You're just lucky. My first S1 failed in 1999 (8 years old).

    In US they recalled S1.

    Interesting, the US never got the 89 model wonder if nissan changed PTU suppliers, between 89 and 90

    It's an electrical component ....... it could fail on install OR last 'halfway to ever' :cool:

    I've been using the same S1 ptu for over 15yrs without problem :)

    '89 ....... but I have no way of knowing if it is the original ptu or not :D
