We already have 26 definates and 4 possibles for Friday's dinner. The motel will be ringing me in the morning to advise on the maximum number they can accomodate for dinner. If there is a problem with numbers I will see what they can arrange with side dishes and maybe make use of BBQ facilities. Will fill in the details as soon as they ring.

 

Myself, and a friend will be attending, i also think lil baz and leah would like to join in aswell...

Update on the Dinner situation for Friday night

With the large number we now have coming for dinner (currently 30 definite + 4 possibles), Trappers would like to set us up for dinner in their function room (and they are licensed). There is already another booking for 20 at the restaurant (that got in before us for a 7:30pm sitting). Ailsa has suggested that we look at a 6:30pm booking for a 7:00pm start. This sounds good to me.

Again because of the large number of us we have the choice of a limited menu A-La-Carte or a buffet (but not both). I think the A-La-Carte is the way to go, but I am posting both menus below for people to consider. With the buffet we would have to preset the entrees, mains & desserts.

Trapper's Food & Beverage Manager will be phoning me tomorrow after lunch for our decision, so unless I hear back a whole lot of screaming objections, I will book for the limited A-La-Carte menu below and everyone can choose on the night whether they want 1, 2 or 3 courses ($29, $39 or $49pp).


For those that can't read the fine print:
Entrees - Garlic & Chive Tiger Prawns, Chicken Tenderloin Skewers, Shallow-fried Veal Escallope.
Mains - Bacon Wrapped Beef Fillet, Pan-seared Chicken Breast, Salmon Fillet (on pasta with lime cream sauce).
Dessert - Sticky Date Pudding, Baked Apple & Rhubarb Pie, Baked Caramel Fudge Cheesecake.



Buffet - $28 per person
Choice of two salads (coleslaw, garden, potato, pasta)
Choice of two hot dishes (Chicken Bosciola, Steak Dianne, Roast Pork, Roast Lamb, Meatloaf, Prawn & Scallop Fettucine)
Accompaniments - baked spuds, baked veg, seasonal veg selection, steamed rice, mixed plate of condiments
Choice of two desserts (fresh fruit salad, bread & butter pudding, apple crumble, steamed chocolate pudding with baileys sauce)

That's cool. I just hope we haven't got people double booked for dinner at both tables.

 

If i dig out my formal suit just for my belovedd Z community and no one else is in one im gonna throw a banana.. literally! haha
