Chad a vertical core FMIC is literally two big SMIC's welded together. The only difference is placement.

Ash Spec massives would be up the task.

well yes anti just like a normal horizontal cooler is basically intercoolers together...

thats interesting alex, did u have ducts with yours ? and how much power where u making ... im guessing they are great but it looks like the 350+ mark is where these coolers become a problem

Thanks dudes, yep coolers have moved on since the japteks first appeared as the mofo coolers. At $250 they are a bargain.

Day I do decide I need 2 bar of boost in my life I'll spend up for the Ash specs which are $725 USD ex delivery. Probably well over $1k once landed here and will need some 2" to 2.5" silicon hoses to suit. Car can also be converted to flex fuel at the same time.

Same power. But no heat problems at all anywhere or anytime on the dyno. Yes i was running ducts. Will be using the ash massive agine for my next engine as well .. those who dont run ducts are crazy.

The idea is not to run massive power or mass boost.
The idea is to keep your air tmps down. Sooner And for long . Make for more consistent tuning and as a bonus better flow.

    I'm not using any ducts.

There's 2 versions of the Japteks now. I'm just using the most basic ones for 2" piping. The new version is called the mammoth cooler which is designed for 2.5" piping. If using these without Ash spec 2.5" boost piping then will need some 2"-2.5" silicon hoses.

I plan to buy some plastic sheets and just make my own. It's on the to-do list.

Along with buying a spare set of indicators and trying this little DIY mod below. Should be much more effective than the fog light ducts. I like having foggies.
