are all the genuine altia centre panels green, my ones blue. Don't wont to list it as legit if not. It came on the car from japan about 15 years ago.
They (altia) are all green - it could be a DIY modified panel or the strip has been replaced. If you post a picture it shouldn't be too hard to tell if it's altia or not.
no worries I will post one soon, I figured you will be able to tell since you have been working on them lately. I haven't forumed for a while where do people upload pics for insertion these days? might just post into gumtree and use the pics from there here and adjusted the add if you think its genuine or not.
Its not glowing like I remember on the car, could be the 9v battery I used, could be burnt out I never had it apart.
Pretty sure that's a non-genuine Altia panel - ie a regular panel that has been converted. There's a mini FAQ on Altia stuff here: EL Panel | The Australian 300zx Owners Association (aus300zx.com)
Thanks for the link mate, I think you might be right. As its blue and has the outline 300zx. Maybe It didn't come with the car from japan as Im the second owner in Aus was given that story but going by the blue dash and number plate lights the guy just liked blue lights and either had it made/made it. At least when i list it for sale I know this now and wont get heaps or messages telling me Im a scammer/wrong. So cheers to those who helped.
NO drama thanks rob, probably worth and average condition centre panel, that just so happens to glow blue
