    on the UK forum some members are abit up there own asses. In general I have found the site quite good..just spoilt by a minority

    would you guys be able to do a prahaps a black chrome finish on the headlight inserts with the infinity FX projectors?

    I'm pretty sure they are copies - but supposed good copies. They're enroute from western Canada to me and then will be forwarded onto Andy for his scrutinizing. Without taking my 90 J Spec headlights apart, I'm going to assume that the 99 Spec inserts will fit inside - correct?
    Now, will those same 99 Spec inserts fit inside a 90-96 USDM headlight? I still haven't found out if there's a difference in the size of the high beam reflector.

    99 INSERT

    From just "eyeballing" the 99 insert , it looks like the highbeam lens portion may be about 1/2" shorter than the ones we have. Going to have to get past that part and I think I can. Just have to wait until I get a set in my hands and get the ol ruler out.

    Do these measurements from a '90 J-spec provide any assistance?

    Low beam projector diameter = 69.3mm diam
    High beam reflector = 91mm x 191mm

    Now that is a caliper

    Nice tool...the digital calipers I mean. Does that thing do inches and 1/16"'s. Maybe John is up and can help me...he's pretty good at that.

    Jules: But I do love the taste of a good burger. Mm-mm-mm. You know what they call a Quarter Pounder with cheese in France?
    Brett: No.
    Jules: Tell 'em, Vincent.
    Vincent: A Royale with cheese.
    Jules: A Royale with cheese! You know why they call it that?
    Brett: Because of the metric system?
    Jules: Check out the big brain on Brett! You're a smart mother****er. That's right. The metric system. What's in this?

    I couldn't help it :eek: Looking forward to the inserts though like you wouldn't believe if all is good :D

    Inches??????? I remember them, along with pounds, ounces, quarts, pints, coke in glass bottles and beer in steel cans ... :p:p:p.

    It doesn't convert to sixteenths, but:
    69.3mm = 2.7295in = just under 2 47/64ths in.
    91mm = 3.5825in = just over 3 37/64ths in.
    191mm = 7.5195in = roughly 7 33/64ths in.

    Cheers, Mikey, looking forward to these :D.

    Measurments

    The measurements on a '99 Xenon inserts around the HighBeam both horizonally and diagonally would be great. and the circumferance of the low beam. Anyone have any broken down?

    Those covers look really great. Sorely tempted!

    But with regards the nipple on the outside, I thought they were a requirement so the powers-that-be have a point to measure from in order to check headlight height compliance.
