Hi, looking to purchase one of their stage 1 VG30DETT Engines..... Can anyone share good/bad experiences from dealings with Jeff / Nizzpro. Just a little concerned as google reviews seem to be all over the place. Thanks..
They've been around for ages. Reviews from extreme not good to extreme good. Personally not used them.
Well i went ahead and paid in full for a stage 2 VG30DETT build........."Hopefully" i will be able to report back along the lines of "Extreme Good" "Hopefully"
Thanks...... Just an observation.......i haven't been back to this site for a while.......Gee! its "quiet" here nowadays. VERY different to a few years ago!!
Used to drop by here on occasion a few years ago myself for a browse to mix it up from SAU.com (ex skyline owner) and yeah... we need to get this forum back up and going!
The main variables? Let's play a guessing game - The customer's expectation versus the girth of his wallet? Or thinking that if a mechanic does an expensive repair on just one part of a 25 year old car then the entire car should be trouble free for years afterwards? Maybe ignoring advice from the mechanic, as in "all this extra boost you've asked for might break other things" ? I always hated haters for hating on Z32 mechanics. The rare few guys still willing to work on these cars are a treasured resource IMO.
And here's me, been watching your Sunday Pics thread and enjoying the aesthetics. Never suspecting that you're plotting to do evil things under the bonnet. Go you!
I paid IN FULL on the 20th January......was told 6-8 weeks.. At this stage i haven't had ANY further updates.. Will wait a couple more weeks , then start to pressure them !! I hope this doesn't go down the road of the big ....... "Regret"
Don't wait! you're entitled to know where they are up to with it. Don't send a message that you're content to sit back and not have them do anything with it. Will be awesome though , what exactly is the recipe for a Stage 2 VG30DETT?
@ woofer.. did you exchange blocks with them? after speaking to them myself, some time ago, I was under the impression they had built engines ready to go, could be wrong though, it seems.
No harm in asking how it is going, I'm sure it is all fine mate. I don't know of many jobs that ever get completed on time, automotive or otherwise! Best laid schemes and all of that. Get them to send some progress pics of the build!
Rang Jeff at Nizzpro and spoke to him today.... no problems , just a bit behind schedule due to current events..... He is hoping to get the build completed by next weeks end and then freighted to me after Easter. @beaver No i did not exchange blocks as the current engine is 100% sound and still performing perfectly, has 102K km on it. It already has a few mods to it . I started off i just wanted a "Spare" VG30DETT Engine due to them becoming scarcer.... I then decided i might as well go the whole hog and spend a bit extra for some added goodies.
Roger that. A spare engine is a good idea. Shopping trip anyone? From this ancient thread - http://aus300zx.com/index.php?threads/ross79-and-i-went-shopping-for-engines.304686/
