Hi, I am a new member here from Sweden. I wonder if there is anyone here that knows if you can use the SAW with other ECU:s than original? Like Vems, Maxxtune or AEM or others. I know this is a little bit rare today the SAW system, but maybe some of you knows about it. I talked to the creator the other day www.ess-racing.com but he didn´t know. He is not making them anymore. I know he sold lots of them to Australia, so maybe someone here knows more, hopefully. I have that system in my car and I like to upgrade the injection system.

Can't answer your question directly BUT have you considered nistune? You'll be able to tune your for your upgraded injectors and also retain stock ECU (and compatibility with your SAW). https://www.nistune.com/

Hi, thanks for the answer, but I have done all that. I have 555 injectors, 300 degrees fuelrails and PE1420 Turbos with boost Control from Apexi, and I have chip from Pro-Z. So now the effect is 442hp. But to maximaze the Power you have to change the system to something you can map and tune. Thats why I want to know if SAW is working with other systems.

Correct. This is exactly what nistune is.

The creator of the SAW has been quoted on various forums, statements seem to imply that the SAW works with the Nissan Auto transmission (and Auto controller) or similar. I hadn't read anyone say the ECU would need to be stock. The 4wd off roaders use a different ecu with different engines, so I always assumed that I would be able to use my SAW with a LS V8 and Nissan TT auto.

Steven used a SAW kit with his Vh45 swapped Z32. Not sure exactly if he needed any funny business to get it going.

not many aftermarket ecu's can control auto's. Piggybacking factory ecu and retaining auto controller is your best bet.

Maxxecu can (from the looks of it sifting through the software) control autos.
Knock control on them ("Race" is the only one that "got" it) are crap though.

Syvece and life racing can do autos. Im sure Motec as well.

I talked to a Company nearby today and they recommend the Haltech system. They had ready system for 300zx. I Think that will be the deal. Haltech can do Everything I want. :)

Any reason to keep the auto? Why not convert to manual?

Hmm, how about the system from AEM? Most of the american cars are automatic, so AEM mayby works, don´t you think??
