Many on here fitted roof aerial ? All so has any one rewire power on separate switch to stock one ? :br::zlove:
Yep... me! So far I think I'm the only Insane one here in Vic, lol! I see you mention power so I assume you want to keep your electric extendable one? I don't know where you will fit the motor though... I used a swept back one that's common on Mazda's and Holdens and just re-routed the antenna cable then shaved the old opening in the 1/4 panel. I'll add a photo tonight if you like as they're on my Desktop PC and not my Laptop (which I'm on now!)
:zlove: Thanks for that ill keep eye out for your pick,Cheers Peter I am thinking of the shark fin look :rolleyes2:
Cant find a dear one only cheap like this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Shark-Fi...ersal-RV-ABS-Aerial-Top-Roof-OK-/281882800083 :bash:
OK ... I have had a chat with Baz ..... and he tells me that the aerial he had was a stick aerial fixed between the top of the rear hatch and the targas ..... it was the aerial for the Uniden UHF two way radio ..... hope that clears up things ... at one point I was was chasing the idea of a BMW radio aerial but the idea never went anywhere ....
someone had fitted something like this http://g02.a.alicdn.com/kf/HTB1337F...ti-Static-font-b-Car-b-font-font-b-Roof-b.jpg to my car between the tailgate and the targas - I took it off and shaved the factory one. going to go with a internal stick on glass jobby.
Haha! The UHF aerial must have been what I was thinking of! I remember one day Al (I think) was drilling holes in your roof
Found it... ...after seeing the "Shark Fin" style I think I actually prefer it too! free adult image hosting
