Anyone know what the stone protection paint is at the bottom of the doors and sills?
I have a dent that im going to repair but want to keep the factory stone coat look.

  2. When I took the guards off and used paint stripper, it was some sort of rubbery material, and it didn't come off anywhere as easy as the rest.

stone guard is a product that can be bought, sprays on before the colour, then is painted over. takes Practice to get the texture looking right - different nozzles, air pressure and all the rest can effect the corseness and look. but it can be done. if you try to retaing the stock stone guard and then paint over it every layer of paint builds up on it and softens the textures edges

Can't stand it myself. But I can see its worth on a daily street driven car and would definitely consider having it
