First i noticed the brown around the cap, while that isn't a sure fire, its a sign i noticed. Then i checked the cluster shots..... the temp gauge looks like it has the H in its sights ;-) If i was looking to buy, i would assume it has been overheated.

Bit of a worn gear shifter for 632kms! Coolant probably went solid over the years so engine probably did get hot. Might also have been hard for him to register if rails got bent in that jump...

from memory the fuel tank was rusted to shit as well and you can see the phot of the orange fuel pump which was taken out of the tank. He was going to replace the tank as well. I guess the car is too much to fix for him. shame.

Probably because he realised it's only got limited appeal to enthusiasts and isn't going to make a bucket load of money off it like he probably first hoped.

Edit: Is it bad that I want this?

Generally cars donated to schools are not able to be registered again. It's certainly not nice enough to keep as a collectors item and if you can't take it out for a casual drive it's also useless.

No, it's not bad that you'd want this at all.
It would be an interesting purchase & a genuine collectors item.
From the pictures it is original.
I doubt that it has been overheated.

No, he decided to sell it to make a profit as anyone would. It's a lil piece of commercial history that I hope someone enjoys.

    From the ad:

And even though this car has a turbo spoiler and has many stickers stating its a "twin turbo", its actually naturally aspirated. According to the VIN number, this car is #000034 and I don't think Nissan had made any 300TT's when the commercial was shot .
