Hi mate, I'm located in Wellington Point which is South East of Brisbane, a couple of suburbs over from Cleveland. I was in Toowoomba the weekend before last, where were you then? Lol

Price? The lower I go, the more money I lose. You can PM me an offer if you like and I will let you know if I'm willing to take that loss.

All, I'm willing to post these, hence the AUS in the title.

Sorry mate, too much of a loss at that price. All they have done since I bought them is sit in a box so no extra ware has been bestowed on them since I bought them from Chris.

I maintain that you should keep these brakes and find new wheels. Brembo's are better than any wheels.

What's your issue with a couple of spacers? Might just need 5-10mm. New studs. Paint the spacer the same colour as the hub or wheel as to not stand out. All good.

Isn't insurance void if you use spacers? I don't want to do anything dodgy that won't be as safe either.

Read the PDS from your insurer

There's not much wrong with a 5mm hubcentric spacer... You can always fit Nismo or ARP longer studs if you are concerned about purchase length on the wheel nut.

Best part about keeping them you won't have to put up with lowball offers.

Forget about your safety concerns. Done correctly they are legitimately safe.

Insurance. If the fault was caused by the spacer directly then they would not pay. But thats never happened. For a crash, if they were to go over every part of the car and give you a list of illegitimate stuff that happens to be on your car that they wont pay, that's a different issue.

Equally, Ive never heard of an insurer saying they wont pay your claim, after someone rear ended you, due to your momo steering wheel or because you didnt have cats in your exhaust.

Not to mention changing out the calipers would require engineering to be "legal" anyway, were you going to do that?

    do you need engineering?

in vic, as long as they where fitted on a car OEM then its legal and do not need an engineering certificate.. (as long as they are bigger)

all aftermarket kits in vic are illegal unless engineered.

Wheel spacers came on some stock cars years back. So in vic it's legal I guess?

Spacers are not legal unless oem fitted.

In qld you need a mod plate for brembos, not hard to get at all.

    Wheel spacers

Agree Chris, spacers are not legal unless they were OEM fitment or an OEM option on that model vehicle.
For those that have them fitted, put it to the test.
In NSW it is common to see RMS Inspectors on the side of the road checking trucks.
Next time you see these inspectors, pull in & ask them, you can even point out you have them fitted & educate them what a great modification they are.

I thought I remember reading a while back of cases where they sheared off.

I had planned to get them Mod Plated if they had fit with these wheels.

    This is what I thought

I have run spacers on a few cars for years and they have been fine. I guess the ones that sheared off must have had very little thread holding them on.
