I have pinched a lower o ring in my injector. Does anyone know where I can buy one in Briabane today? Would a generic I ring set have the right one? Cheers Chris
Lewis Hoses & Seals 11 Randall St, Slacks Creek, QLD 4127 p: (07) 32084488 If you don't have any luck there, try the CBC round the corner in Miller st. If you don't have any luck at the CBC, then try the weird little place at 6 Judds Ct around the corner. If you're still out of luck, then you're getting quite desperate and its time to go see ludowici seals at pinkenba but expect to pay for the priviledge.
It may do, but i would be more inclined too go too cbc bearings if you can find one open close too you, theirs would be a better quality.

Hi mate, I am going to get some on Monday from a place thats a stones throw from where I work. Seems I pinched an o-ring in cylinder 4 and thats was over fuelling at idle. I think I am just going to replace them all. This time with TONS of Vaseline. Chris
I was told Vaseline will swell o-rings buy my pool guy years ago, I know plenty of people use it, he suggested using silicone grease to service o-rings, interestingly you can tiny tubs of it at pool shops very cheaply, pool shops also tend to be open on week ends. http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-290858.html http://www.directpoolsupplies.com.au/prod1767.htm
Why use expensive Viton o-rings on injectors, is it for hektic points ? Or are you fond of Vaseline ?
At $2 extra a piece, thats $24 ! You know what you can buy with $24 ! Thats right more Vaseline ! On paper it is a better material, but in reality it is not, not if an experience base of hundreds of thousands of cars means anything. The most likely rebuttal is that no Viton o-ring has failed either, that may be true. Installed properly the Viton o-ring will offer absolutely no benefit over OEM/nitrile o-rings, but a possibility of unforseen issues, and that is the point. It would be a bold engineer that would increase costs for no benefit in a given situation and risk an unforseen outcome. The thing with unforseen outcomes, is they are unforseen. If you have something that works and there is no benefit to be gained from change, it aint broke dont fix it, especially if it costs more.
