As the title states i have gone crazy. Cant live without a 300zx so ive gone out and purchased 2.!! Have some big plans atm, so i need some opinions To start off with... Car one 1990 Manual TT, Targa, 2 seater (fresh respary) RED, no rego Car two 1990 Auto NA, hardtop, 2 seater RED, no rego FACT 1 End result must equal to a TT manual with total HICAS delete and replacement of NA rear end and engine bay conversion etc. FACT 2 weight is of importance QUESTION 1 is it easier to convert the NA to a TT then it is to convert the TT to a NA rear end and power steering pump conversion etc? QUESTION 2 Is the weight saving on the hardtop justifiable to sacrifice the freshly painted TT? QUESTION 3 will it be harder to get the NA converted to TT Road worthy? QUESTION 3 Have i "actually" lost the plot?
1) Resprays can be done anytime, slicktops are hard to find. Not to mention lighter and better handling (supposedly) 2) Yes. Converting the NA to TT and keeping roadworthy will be a furious battle. 3) you own two zeds, you tell me.
I'd take the resprayed targa Zed, but then again I've bought two targa top Z32's. Whatever you pick, getting there will suck.
I did the TT swap into a NA slicktop. Easy. But having a TT converted to NA may be harder to sell than just a NA. But a TT slicktop is worth more (to some anyway) than a targa. Chose the straightest car and use that.
My nana drives a silver car.... Just saying. Red is the colour of passion isn't it? A zed is a passionate thing. He got it right regardless Tt the slicktop. Don't talk, just listen. You won't regret it. Placing an auto na into the respray targa body on sold to a fresh p plater for summer will reward you with some extra coin. You've missed the schoolies window, so aim for the daddies Chrissy gift to their spoilt daughter. Done.
if the tt is straight personally id go with the targa top to enjoy the summer aswell.... slicktop if ur seriously looking into track work...
