Replacing wiring harness ive looked thru tech section with no result, any one found any advice on how to do this and if this from coz http://www.conceptzperformance.com/...Type=NIS300&UID=20111110004800203.191.172.122 includes all the wiring under radiator support and if it matters about rhd lhd if so where can i buy a right hand drive harness??
G'day mr0300, not sure if this will help, but i remember Eric ( a2zed ) had a post up about wiring harness connectors and repair kits " http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=308535 " If it's not exactly the right thing he might be able to point you in the right direction
I used the manual for this, It shows detailed pics of where the harness goes, and every other wire under there, really helpful is you get stuck.
Thanks might buy a manual if I can find one will come in handy. I won't tackle this by my self want to re-rout main fuse box, ptu to under the dash put battery in boot so I'll probably get an auto electrician mate of a mate that comes highly recommend to help do it I'm worried ill stuff it up myself its going to be big job I think.
should i order a harness from coz to do this then cut it up does it matter if its left hand drive harness 90 tt manual when my cars a right hand drive 1990 tt converted to manual ?? before i buy it
I have just finished fitting a left hand drive harness, I did it with the engine and dash in place and its a fiddly job but not impossible, the hardest part is getting the metal bracket off which holds the harness to the inside of the firewall, other than that it is a fairly straight forward job.
I have done this 6 months ago and it was quite simple, I think i took about 5h. You need to disconnect aircon pipes in engine bay so that you can take out little aircon radiator under dash passenger side, everything else is just disconnect and reconnect. Before I started I took few pictures of engine bay under every angle just in case. When you are installing new harness besure that every connector will go to right place and are pushed all the way in. I had one connector connected badly and to find which one took me another day.
