Part of me was hoping that it wouldn't happen, but today a deal has been agreed on which will tomorrow see me driving the trusty grey NA Jedi mobile for the last time. Hopefully the new owner will look after it as I have. It sure has been a great car. He's a young kid, but he is part of a zed loving family. For the oldies that may remember him, the new owner is the Brother-In-law of forum member Maciek. Maciek has a black TT (still has it), but has not been active on the forum for about the last 5-6 years. Anyway, at least I know that with Maciek around, my NA will hopefully still get some zed loving Well, now its time to focus on my blue TT and begin the mods and respray Cheers
Wow. I'm not sure whether congratulations are in order or not, but I'll send them anyway. The NA has been a faithful servant and truly one of the best zeds in Australia. I truly hope the new owner appreciates it! But that was the first chapter of your zedding story. The next chapter involves your lovely new blue zed, and I look forward to watching it unfold.
As Col said - congrats .... I think! Respray??? Staying same colour, or other plans, hint hint Maybe you can't resist the gunmetal. I suppose I'd better get serious about selling the Magna soon .... if you can let the NA go, I should be able to say goodbye to the Mitsi!
Thanks guys.... I hope I man up tomorrow and don't sob when Maciek drives away with my (well, not mine anymore) NA.... I'll be sad to see it go, but as Col said, its now time for the Blue TT No color changes Mikey, the respray will be the same Blue, with a 2000 spec front and a Stillen ducted nose panel.... just like my NA Havent decided on the rear bar. I want something discreet that doesn't stand out to much. If I cant find something, I'll just be leaving the stock rear as it is. But before the respray, the exhaust has to be done. I'm sick and tired of driving a zed with the stock quiet exhaust... I cant even hear the bloody thing!!!! Cheers
Well done, hope you got a good price for it. Definately one of the best maintained and well cared for Zeds on the forum.
Congrats... Well you knew it would go sooner or later...just glad its going to another zed enthusiast :zlove:...anyway time to concentrate on the blue zed Hopefully, we'll see the grey zed on a few cruises
Woow Mark... ...congratulations Mate! It's like the end of an era, but like it's been said you now have your new baby to build into something as equally as awesome and knowing your attention to detail it will end up just as Inspiring!
Funny how the world turns.... The zed was picked up this morning by Maciek. When I came home, I found the Vicroads Rego renewal for my grey zed waiting for me in the letter box lol Guess I wont be paying that one
Wow................. I never thought I would be reading this thread, although if you see my latest thread I know exactly how you feel...
I'm amazed you sold that car after all the time, money and effort that went into it. Congrats on the sale, I share col's sentiment though. Tis a shame the car never went down the strip at least once or around a track. I've been chasing your NA since the day I joined up here and would kill for a all out lap in the 155rwkw NA.
well... having 2 zeds just wasnt practical mike...... I really did want to keep it, but we only have a 2 car garage and with the upcoming baby (due date is tomorrow mind you ), the wifes car is in the garage next to the Blue TT. That means the grey zed would have to be parked outside. And being only a 2 seater car, it wouldnt be driven much. In a different world, where I had more money and more garage space, I would not have sold it.
