In my opinion i prefer the cosmetic appearance of a dual exhaust but if there was a good single exhaust system for sale would that little sacrifice be worth a good exhaust? In terms of performance is dual better then single or are they roughly the same? What are your thoughts?
I got a single exit and don't like it at all, makes the car look totally unbalanced IMO. Came from Japan like that, that's why I'm doing a switch. But that's the looks department! As for performance.. I'm not sure but I'll let you know when I get my new exhaust system dualed up. Just waiting for loudnproud to show me a sample of what his system sounds like! Oh, and take a look in my sig - see how unbalanced it looks? lol -YakuzaMoon
Would give an interesting note with all exhaust pulses coming out the one Muffler, more 'racey' or make it sound like it were revving harder than what it was, perhaps. The slot car pulled the look off OK with a rear bar to suit. But these cars look best with a dual exhaust, no argument there. :zlove:
kakimoto single exhaust only reason why im considering it. Ive heard many good things about kakimoto haha
My car arrived from Japan with a 4" Kakimoto single exhaust(and it sounded beautiful). I swapped it out for a 3" S/Steel Veilside Twin cannon system some time ago(which also has a great sound). There wasn't any noticeable change in performance between either system.:zlove:
Apexi single exit http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sUba-xCIDDA Kakimoto single exit http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8v_16ii4D8s&feature=related Yeah Kakimoto single exit sounds pretty mean lol was considering kakimoto till' someone mentioned they aren't as loud (which is what Im wanting) as other exhausts. As for the hard reving sound.. I do notice when Im not really reving hard just driving normally my car does sound like its going hard when its actually not lol -YakuzaMoon
 When I stick my new exhausts systems on with new photos.. I will put chicks on both sides just for you! Here's the original link if you want a better look http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_3m_OS-jsA...J9icw/s400/3d_yakuza_girl_tattoos_designs.jpg -YakuzaMoon
dont do it, single exhausts on a zed look shit....like black beast said, only do it for weight reduction. seeing as your car isnt for the track, dont do it
You know what, I didn't notice till now, but you're a new member aren't ya?... knew I haven't seen you around much till like only recently lol, welcome mate. Oh and almost pointless to voice the echoes of the other guys in this thread, but I'll do it anyway.... DON'T GO SINGLE, sh*t is not right for a Zed! MoulaZX
A decent single from cat back gives the same note as an RB26, ie shite when idling and cruising and totally awesome at 5000RPM+. Just can't beat that sound of a single system at WOT! I almost went this way myself but at the end of the day the cosmetic road I decided to go did not allow for it. Maybe I should have done a dummy pipe A single can look good on a Z but you really need to mod the rear bar so there is not a big gouge on one side that screams there should be something there.
Thanks for the welcome! Yeah I'm quite new but I've been lurking around the forums for a while till' I decided to join recently. Nice people around here And I'm gonna say DON'T GO SINGLE either! Two is better than one in this case! Can't stand my single lol at first it was cool and different though. And on idle sucks going hard it sounds alright. -YakuzaMoon
Singles look crap as everyone says, but I love the sound of magicmike's car at full noise. Tonto's single isn't far off mike's either. No idea what is on his car, single 4", looks shit, sounds awesome. Like Karl said, sounds like a RB26 but better.
Yo RoryZ you decide on the exhaust yet?? Gonna go for singles or duals?? I think it just really depends what you want out of your exhaust - cosmetics or performance. -YakuzaMoon
4" Kakimoto. I agree it looks shit but the sound blows my mind If anyone has another 4" Kakimoto muffler I'd love to buy it so I can balance up the rear end.
