EOI, Perth Zed Performance dyno day

Hi all,

This is an expression of interest for those people who would like to participate in a dyno day conducted by Tom and his staff from PZP, and I will be helping to organise participants and spectaters......

We are planning the following at this point, a Sunday afternoon start (noonish) on a weekend in either late Febuary or March this year.

Participants will pay $40 for the day, and this includes a BBQ lunch and 2 power runs for each car, with the highest run being recorded. please note that your car will not be tuned or altered on the day, this is purely a power run to see what potential your car has under the hood. If you would like your car tuned, PZP does offer this as a additional service he can perform during normal trading hours.

We anticipate we should be able to run 20 cars on the day, and in addition Tom and PZP will be offering prizes for the cars the record the highest total power, so not only will you get to find out how powerfull your car is, but you have a chance of taking something home with you as well! COOL!

Please express your interest in this thread, and answer the poll as to which day works best for you. Once a final date is selected we will start booking in cars to run on the day

Any questions please direct to myself or Tom from PZP, but i think its pretty self explanitory hehe

See you there, Ross aka Jinxed

just on a side note here, $40 is cheap for a dyno day!

I ran a a few dyno days roughly 2 years back, and they were $45 for the day and no bbq for competitors....

We'll be there, however unless we can fix that vacuum leak issue, dont know if we'll be seeing big numbers, either way count us in, woop woop!

I'll be in for watching and catching up with people. Be rude not to. 5 mins from home and all

Wont run the beast though. Sorry. Not unless something drastic happens between now and then. But keen to catch up, and also keen to pay some $$$ to cover snags if there's a "Hungry Spectator" option

lol, there should be a hungry spectator option ugame .....

remember guys we need about 20 cars to make this happen.....NA's and turbos will compete in the own category so both are welcome, and non-zeds if we have room, which i would imagine we probly will....

If it ends up being one of the later dates... then I might run the beast. Give me something to aim for for some doable fixes between now and then.

Can anyone else see a challenge brewing here between the OLD crew having their Dyno day on the 14th and the WA club having theirs, what state is going to produce the highest powered registered Z, what about the other states, when are you having yours, Game on.

Thanks for putting up the EOI thread Ross.

I and the rest of the PZP team are very keen to host a dyno day for the aus300zx club. We would like to extend the offer to everyone with a Z car or Nissan import (must be RWD) to come and join in on our dyno day.
As Ross has already stated, we're looking for 20 entrants @ $40 per car with a maximum of two dyno runs consecutively.

The date is yet to be confirmed, I'll wait for another week to see how the EOI poll works out, then we'll have to speak to the owners of our building and ensure we have the green light for that particular day.

There will be free giveaways, a free sausage sizzle and drink for competitors and prizes/trophies for the following categories.
  • "Highest Horsepower Forced Induction"
    • The competitor with the most powerful forced induction car.
  • "Highest Horsepower Naturally Aspirated"
    • The competitor with the most powerful naturally aspirated car.
  • "Wooden-Spooner"
    • The competitor with the car that has the lowest power output.
  • "Closest Conjecture"
    • The competitor that comes the closest to their estimated power output.
Each competitor will receive a print out of power output (in their choice of HP/KW/PS) along with boost or air/fuel ratio. Extra printouts are available for $5ea. We will also have a leader board displayed so everyone can keep track of who's making what power and who's next in line!

Question Tom.

if open to all RWD Nissans, is that the 1 comp. Or will it still be "Z32" and "Non Z32" highest numbers?

I'm not fussed either way but thought some might want that clarified.
