[QUOTE=ProckyZ89;1265251]What about a good seet or urethaine motor mounts ?

Don't go urathane engine mounts. I had them and they were from a suposedly reputable source and in 40K kms they desintergrated and left me with a sump with a crack pretty much the whole width of it from where it had been belting the steering rack.

New OEM, BDE or LS1 mounts are the go. I've got the LS1 mounts, very stiff and cheap as.

OK..

SOOO , i may have been made a very good offer on some 2871's .. $100 more than 2860's..
should i stick with the 2860's or move up ?

i guess someone will say "depends what you want the car for, high HP or street use.

BUT a set of 2871's with the smaller houses and cams would still hold streetability wouldnt they ?

The problem with the GT2871 is that the compressor wheel is getting too big for the exhaust wheel .

This creates huge back pressure

With a small exhaust wheel and large compressor wheel, your letting air in that can not get out when the two wheels are spinning the same speed. The compressor is pushing, but the exhaust wheel restriction limits the flow and they fight.
All the best turbos in the real world have matching wheels on both sides.

So you will make more power at the expense of lag !

Personally the only one I would use is 49mm (48 trim).next size up from RS..and what I had in my highflows
good spool with a little more topend than GT28RS.
but guess what they dont make a bolt on kit for us.

The US only market the 51mm (GT725)or 53mm(GT800) because peak horsepower figures sells turbos .

your choice .... based on a hp figure or usable power

That's why I was thinking this Turbo might work OK, notice the larger exhaust wheel ... question mark on the quality though. Compressor Map looks good.

No to the 2871 being a good choice for response at low rpm (ie "street" car).
