repost x3 but seems some people didn't see it the previous times so no harm done

I watched it last time it was posted and it really is an excellent doco and good grounding in knowing where our cars came from.

Wouldn't mind seeing an updated version once the 370 joins the line up.

Thanks for sharing. For those that have NOT seen this vid before, it comes highly recommended by everyone thats seen it. Well worth the DL.

Thanks moderators

I dont know if anyone saw the story recently about Pirates Bay, they were found guilt of copy right violations, their servers didnt contain copyrighted material but they pointed to people who did and would gladly share, however Pirates Bay was still found guilty as it was organising people to share copyrighted material.

So when the people at History channel use the same arguement and claims AUS300ZX is a facilitator for the illegal distribution of their copyrighted material and close us down we will know who to blame...

Ps. Downloading now, you should be awarded an AO medal for services to the community.

Thanks for the link!
Watched this doco on Foxtel some years ago, but still a good vid.

And now for some additional information:
DAT, was named in 1914 from an acronym of the company's founders: Kenjiro Den, Rokuro Aoyama, Meitaro Takeuchi.

The company built trucks for the Japanese market quite successfully.

In 1918 the company was renamed as the Kwaishinsha Motorcar Co., but then back to DAT in 1925. At this time they began producing passenger vehicles as the DAT. In 1926 they were forced to merge with Jitsuyo Jidosha Co., but still kept the name DAT.

The Nissan 'zaibatsu' (conglomerate) was formed in 1928 as an Insurance and Real Estate holding company, affiliated with Hitachi. After World War 2, the Nissan zaibatsu was disbanded, and reformed into Nichiyo-kai, otherwise known as Nissan Group.

In 1931, DAT came out with a new smaller car, the first "Datson" (type 10), meaning "Son of DAT". Later, in 1933 after Nissan took control of DAT Motors, the last syllable of Datson was changed to "sun", because "son" also means "loss" in Japanese, hence the name "Datsun".

And we all know where it goes from there!
