Not sure on how straightforward this is to do, but yes it can be done.

A member on here did exactly this with his set of Bride buckets. What's more, he used the electric driver's seat rail, so he could still use the electric controls for sliding the seat toward / away from the steering wheel!

This is what my bracket was like when i had my racing seat... it was welded together professionally then it had to get a RWC...so don't just get a mate to weld it up for you get it done professionally or it may not be roadworthy. it had the electrics still hooked up to the bracket so it could still move back and forward.

Ah, cheers for the info Xavier!

Yeah, i'm sure nobody would want to fly out of the car with their seat still attached!

How much was the welding job if you don't mind me asking?

The Previous Owner i bought it off said it cost him around $800 for the seat, bracket and instalation...(not sure how much just the welding was, i can ask if you want) then he got the RWC (no extra cost 4 seat) for the zed, when he sold it to me....he also said the reason it got the RWC because it was done by a qualified person and it was installed in a 2 seater not a 4 seater, so if you've got a 4 seater you'll have to get a reclinable racing seat if you want RWC otherwise it is illegal cause it could trap the people in the back seats in an emergency

hope this helps
