300ZX TT 2 Seater hardtop

Hi Guys,

I have a 300ZX TT that would be a pretty sweet project for anyone interested. I've worked for a few years on this project but happy to say I have a little daughter now so no time for performance motors anymore. I have bought a pulsar that suits my family needs better.

The car is a dark grey 3 litre v6 twin turbo 300zx 1991 model. The roof is NON Targra which is a bonus as those things can leak. On my build I decided to go for reliable over performance but when you hear what has been done to it you'll realise its both. Whenever I changed a part I spent the extra to get the performance version.

When I got the car I noticed that the motor was not a turbo version so I changed all the gaskets to metal ones to handle the extra heat. I got the heads shaved and I also changed all of the rubber pipes at that time to. I found the knock sensor was faulty so that is brand new(a common fault). this was done by AMC automotive (They mostly do MX5's and Mini's but also work on other cars)

To keep the heat down because I am running two (smallish) after market turbos I bought a PVR all aluminium radiator.

The single air intake has been replaced with a dual air intake(HKS) and to get better air flow the oxygen sensors have been replaced the air pressure sensors all running on a HKS computer(that does all the mapping)

The quad exhaust has been replaced and fitted with a twin 3 inch pipes.

As far as the body is concerned it is straight and true As with everything else this has been modified to. A stillen body kit has been added with the old stillen big wing on the back. The shape of the front guard means that air is forced into the engine bay and the twin intakes breath nice cold air.

When I bought the car the clutch was crap so I replaced it with a copper ceramic one.

The mags are nicely understated a light shade of grey five spoke.

Will post a pic soon.

Mileage over the years I've owned the car I bought it with 114K and its now up to 118K. Its still a baby!

I was going to get my mechanic to the engine back in after the rebuild but I'm really at a point where I am ready to sell because I have bigger and better projects to work on.

Leave a message on this thread and I'll get back to you. I'm interested in whether people want the parts or the rolling chassis & engine for a project rebuild. I was quoted approx. 2 grand to put the motor back in

Oh and I nearly forgot to mention there is a alpine system with door mounted tweaters.

Cheers

Justin

I bought the car at 15k and spent 15k so any number is arbitrary. I'm looking for an out that my mind says is acceptable.

Yes your right. My mechanic knows the turbo's and he was pretty impressed. I'll have to ask him what they are??

I can and do work on my pulsar but with the zed it was like looking at a spaceship. With only 2 inches either side of the engine I couldn't do much myself.
